StepCalcs is a set of free calculators built to be quick to use and honest about how each answer is reached.
Why we built it
Most online calculators give you a number and nothing else. We wanted every calculator to show the steps behind its answer, so you can check the result, learn the method, or explain it to someone else.
How the calculators work
Each calculator uses a standard, published formula, which is written out on its page along with a worked example. The maths runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server.
Every formula is covered by automated tests against known results before the site is published. If you think a result is wrong, please tell us and include the numbers you entered.
A note on health and money
The health and finance calculators give general estimates. They are not medical or financial advice and cannot take your personal circumstances into account. Speak to a qualified professional before making important decisions.
How the site is funded
StepCalcs is free to use and is supported by advertising. Advertisers have no say over the calculators or their results.
